Ouch!!!!!

Doesn't look good does it, and it was even worse the next day! This is the result of a needle I had yesterday the SIZE OF A HORSE NEEDLE in my arm. It wasn't so bad going in because I was given an anesthetic first ( Ouch hasn't that stuff got a bit of sting in it ) the worst bit is afterwards when it all wears off!!! Ouch Ouch Ouch!!!! I'm going to milk this one for all I can I'd be crazy if I didn't! Every time I feel a bit sick no-one in my family really believes me so I don't get a rest, funny that isn't it! Next time when the kids day "Muuuuum can you...... " I'm just going to show them my arms (because I have matching bruises) sorry dear my arms are too sore!!! This was day 73.
Here I am day 72 just about ready to go to town I've just got to turn that TV off so I can get the kids attention and get them dressed. I know I know I've dug a big hole for myself when my 5 year old can't dress herself, I have on occasion let her and it's really frustrating just watching her sometimes she puts the clean undies on over the top of her old ones and I don't know how she does it but she gets into the biggest tangled mess when trying to get her shirt on or off' she even puts her socks on upside down, crazy isn't it!! One day and I'm hopeful that it will happen, my mornings will become a bit easier.

Day 71....Not Happy Australia!!!!

Don't know what you think but I was a bit upset with the girl's who got through to the final 12 in Australian Idol last night. Not Happy Australia!!! What were you thinking when you decided to vote Mary Poppins through!!!! Maybe she has alot of friend's at school who voted for her..... anyhow today's photo shows how I feel about last nights result, let's hope tonight's result is a bit better I like Ben and the Surfy Guy that sang last, he had a bit of a hand shaking thing going on just like Bobby Flynn did last year.... well maybe not that bad! but anyway I don't think he knows what to do with his hands without his guitar!
I went in and did reading with Ryan's class again today this time I took Megan with me, she sat in with the class and Mrs Merlehan gave her some activities to do with the rest of the class.... didn't she think she was cool!! Afterwards she told me that she didn't want to sit next to the same boy next time because he kept copying her work and he stunk like chook poop!!! I'm surprised that she waited until afterwards to say something and didn't tell the boy to his face!!!

Bit of a catch up

I've been feeling a bit Blah Blah Blah for the past few days so I haven't been posting but the good news is that I did take my photo's.... so here we go!
Today is day 70 and I simply can not believe that I have stuck with this for so long, I thought this would be the type of thing that I would do for a month and that would be it!!!
Day 69 and Ryan's School Sports Carnival was on today finally as it had already been postponed twice because of the rain. Here is the little man in action he was winning this race until he realised that we were there cheering him on and he kinda got a bit distracted..... still came second though!!! A great day was had by all!

My photo for the day was cooking Chilli Con Carne for dinner....... Hmmmm think I might sleep in Megan's room tonight rather than sleep next to Mark!!! Chilii makes him Fart!!!

It's Sunday day 68 a day for getting a few jobs done around the place because Mark is home for once!!! Yes I married a work-aholic and in true form he mowed half the lawn before we went and had morning tea with Al and Kate then he went to work..... nothing more to say about that!!!

Here I am on Day 67 and looking back at a few of my photo's my eyes look like they change colour. My camera isn't good enough to take a really close shot but if you get really close I have blue eyes with brown and hazel specks in them..... do you know what colour your eyes really are?

Today was Megan's first day at Jazz Ballet for the little ones, it's pretty informal for this group I think as they get up into the other groups it gets serious. It was cute watching all the little girls jumping and pointing around the room in their little outfits.

Day 66 and look what finally turned up in the mail today.... my new straightener!!!! Thanks Kel!!!

Day 65 and I'm off to do reading with Ryan's Class.

Now that I have got all of that out of the way it feels much better, I've gotta go and do a few jobs and I might be back later to share a few things with you

Day 64

Today Ryan went to Ag Quip with Mark and Megan and I stayed at home to have a Tea Party!Here are some cute pics of Megan...

I'm so glad Megan takes great pictures she always gives me great material to work with when I scrapbook! She is always so full of energy and has lots of personality, those of you who have met her know what I'm talking about! lol

Sometimes it's really hard to get her to sit still for a picture because she is so full of life, so that's why today's pics is a little out of focus!

Here is my habit for the day.... I never leave the house without make-up on I feel naked without it( even if I'm just going down the paddock to say hello to the cows) you never know who you might run into.

Day 63

Today is day 63 and I planed on finishing that layout I started yesterday but as usual there are always other matters which need a bit of attention. That's one of those things I do which I'm sure many other people are guilty of too...... I find it hard to sit and do something for myself if there are things that need doing like cleaning or whatever which is really annoying because the sky isn't going to cave in if the kitchen floor hasn't been swept!!! I have a friend Jodie who is able to spit out 3 or 4 layouts in a weekend and they look great.... boy I wish I could do it that quick!

Instead I might take 3 or 4 days to do 1 layout!!! A little each day when I have 5 minutes or so, so I can move it around and change the colour scheme a few times I won't tell you how many goes it took to get the colours for this one, It's not finished yet a bit of journalling and it should be ready to go. Thought I might give you a sneak peak...So yippety yippety that's all folks!

Happy Birthday Linda

Today is my sisters Birthday..... bit sad that we can't be there to share it with her because she lives so far away, Linda and I talk regularly on the phone but haven't seen each other for almost 3 1/2 years ( wow that's a long time!! ) hopefully that might change in the near future. Anyway I didn't forget you Linda I baked some little party cakes for you!!
I made them really bright and colourful so you could atleast enjoy looking at them even if you couldn't be here to eat them!!! lol

Ryan couldn't wait to get stuck into one..... this one is for you Aunty Linda!!!!

Ryan caught the bus to school for the first time today, very nervous but as soon as he saw his little buddy Sam he was right to go! Such a relief because now rather than going to town twice a day for 5 days running I only have to do it for 2 days!!

It's been raining for a few days now and there are mini rivers everywhere and everything is slushy and muddy... not complaining though this rain was much needed and alot of people are breathing a sigh of relief.

Ag Quip starts tomorrow so I hope it eases just a little for that I couldn't imagine that it's going to be alot of fun walking around in Gumboots for the day!

This is what rainy weather does to my hair.... forget the straightners too much moisture around for that! This is day 62 for me.

Pool Party

Today is day 60 and we're off to a Pool Party! Isn't it winter you might ask...... sure is but this pool party is at a huge indoor heated pool.

When the kids got in the water they had such a great time with all the other kids ( I did take pics of all the kids but thought it was the wrong thing to do if I posted them ) they swam for around 1 1/2 hours got out stuffed themselves with party food then we had a BBQ Lunch.

Day 59 and today is my friend Brenda's Birthday, isn't that weird two great friend's with the same name and not a very common one at that! To cellebrate a group of us all went for coffee and a chat.

For the rest of the day I cleaned my Scrapbooking space with the help of Ryan who organised all of my ribbons into their colours so I could hang them.

This is such cool idea I lifted from another scrappers blog..... and it looks pretty too! It is much better than having them all scrunched up in a box and you can never find what you want.

Too easy!!

Looks like I have to tell you 8 random things about myself..... Hmmmm so here goes

• I don't like cooking for other people because I don't think my cooking is good enough.
• I don't like tardiness and always make an effort to be on time.
• I hate ironing yet like everything to be ironed.
• My first car was a Toyota Corona and it was a baby pooh colour.
• I find it hard to say NO!
• I had braces on my teeth when I was thirteen... and yes I was called Metal Mouth.
• I hate clutter in my house, yet in other people's houses it doesn't bother me I suppose that's because I don't have to clean it.
• I am totally an impulse shopper... take today for example went for coffee and came out with another handbag I didn't really need. It's a really nice bag though!

Feeling Energetic

We have a very small vegie patch but Megan and I didn't think it was big enough, so today I was feeling a little energetic and cleared all of this ready to extend our garden.
It took a few hours and a few blisters but I finally removed all of those big weeds and thick grass.... killed a few tennis balls in the process. I don't really need all of this space for the garden but when it gets really hot and the kids or myself are in the garden we want to be able to see the snakes coming!

So this is me day 57 and feeling every bit of it after that big effort!

Thought I might give you one of Mark's quirks instead of mine today.... Whenever we have a vegie patch he always insists on growing Tomatoes, that sounds pretty normal you might say..... only he doesn't eat them! Yet when we go grocery shopping he always buys a few tins of Tomatoes "You never know when you are gonna need them" he'll say. Yep he'll eat them out of a tin but not fresh.

I Hate....

..... wind, can't stand it! I can handle any type of weather until wind is added to the mix, it annoys me and makes me irritable!!
And on that point I have nothing else to say, see ya!
Day 56

Day 55.......

..... and what a gorgeous afternoon for a walk. Today we decided to go down to the olive grove down behind our house to see what we could find, I know that there are a few Kangaroos and a big family of Bunnies that live there because I see them every morning out my kitchen window while I make my coffee!

Took some cute pics while we were down there, I love this one of Ryan and myself and as usual Megan pulled a face when it was her turn.

On the way back we stopped in and visited our chookies, who would have thought that these little creatures would make the best pets ever!!!

STOP HOLD THE PRESS..... just as I was half way through doing this post Ryan came in and said "Mum you gotta see this quick come with me", a number of things went through my mind like what have they done now!! After a while you learn to expect anything and everything, guess what they did this time.....

Yep that's right they rounded the chooks up and thought they might like a little go on the trampoline!!!
This one really looks like she is enjoying herself doesn't she!
I wonder if she will lay one of those bum nuts tomorrow..... maybe not!
Like I said you learn to expect anything and everything around here!

Just another day

Well Saturday night dinner went well, that was until Megan told me that her tummy hurt.... you just need to go and do a No 2 I told her. Seconds later and standing about 2m away from me sitting at the dinner table with our guest she projectile vomited all over me!!! I was covered from my shoulders to my knees.... Hmmmm such a lovely warm feeling!!! Lucky we had just finished eating.... poor Richard didn't know whether to laugh or vomit himself!!! Don't think he will be coming back for dinner in a hurry! lol.

Today started off a bit slow as Megan and myself stayed up most of the night with her head in a bucket, I thought I might be able to have a little rest after lunch because I was so tired but it turned out Mark had invited people over for nibbles and drinks ( yay can't wait ) and I had to get organised for that. I was cleaning up inside the kids were outside amusing themselves as usual when I heard the most devilish laugh ever!!! upon investigation this is what I found......

This is my daughter.... you know the one with the beautiful long hair down to her waist!!!

They are OH SO PROUD of what they had achieved! can't you tell!!

... and enjoying every single minute of it all!!

Megan looks like something that crawled up out of the swamp.... check out her eyes don't they look evil!

I was amused and cranky at the same time because Mark had taken my camera to work to take a picture of a Pivot... I told him that something always happens when he does this, and just as I had predicted it did!! Not happy Jan!!!! These pics were taken by my mobile phone, I really didn't expect that they would turn out this good so that sort of eased the pain a little.

My next problem was how was I going to get them cleaned up before our friend's came for nibbles and drinks! Megan's head and hair was caked in mud about 2 inches thick! I told them I would have to hose them down before they came inside to the shower, the very second I hit Megan with the hose she ran and because she was unable to see where she was going she ran right into a clothes line full of nice clean dry washing ready to come off!! This totally made my day!!! I was really cranky when it happened but looking back now it was one of the funniest things ever and I wish I had it on video because I think I would have won Australia's Funniest Home Video's with it!!!!!
After all of that Nibbles and Drinks went really well we all had a laugh and no one vomited on anyone.... phew!!!
