Thinking of movng........

....everything onto one blog that is. As you know I've got the typepad thing happening for all of my Scraparooney stuff as well as this blog...... I find myself blogging twice when it comes to layouts and it's taking up way too much time....... Hmmmmm decisions decisions I might think a little more about it ..... what do you think?

So here are two more layouts using the July Kit for Scraparooney........ both really really cute and I'm loving everything about them.
If you want to know how I did the circle's all over the cardstock you'll have to go to the Scraparooney site and find out.......... I've already blogged all about it and don't feel like doing it twice tonight because I'm too tired........ the more I think about moving everything over to the other site the more sense it makes!!!
On to other stuff now..... the kids had school photo's taken today which was great because I'm looking forward to getting some more photo's to scrap.......as usual something always happens, Ryan went to a birthday party on the weekend and all the boys decided to play Rugby...... this is fine I don't have a problem with that at all in fact I'd rather the kids run around and burn a little energy. A few of the boys thought crash tackling was a good idea too and Ryan's face hit the dirt......... yes that's right 3 days before he has to have school photo's taken he gets skin off his face..... not off his arm or his knee off his face...... boy's will be boy's I guess and there is nothing we can do about it.
bye for now

Off to dinner we go....

On Wednesday night we decided to go out for dinner to the Stuffed Olive...... we don't usually go out on a school night for obvious reasons..... like these two become little horrors the next morning when you're trying to get them out of bed.
Ryan and Megan were visibly excited about going out on a week night.
At this point I'm thinking it might be easier just to stay home and have a simple dinner........what do you think?
We got over our little moment and the night went ahead.... here they are making themselves at home in the restaurant. The colour scheme at the Stuffed olive is absolutely gorgeous....... Chocolate Coffee Red and Turquoise......Hmmmmm reminds me of some of the colours in the July Kit for Scraparooney
Speaking of which..... I spent the afternoon packing the kits and over the next week I'll get stuck into some layouts. If you are interested in the July Kit and don't want to miss out please let me know because a number of kits have already been reserved.
That's about all for now I have to go and feed the little monsters.........bye bye

Things to share

I finally got around to a card using that gorgeous butterfly punch and a big chunk of pretty ribbon..... I doubled the butterfly so it looks like it is flying off the card.
I also got around to taking a picture of just a few of the goodies in the next kit for Scraparooney.... I've had all the goodies ready for ages now and I've been busting to show them to you all. I would have done this earlier but as you all know there has been a bit going on around here...... and besides I finally got a new camera on the weekend and I wanted to wait and use it.... well try and use it, it has soooo many buttons and features you almost need a degree to operate it..... so be warned there may be a few photo shoots ahead!!
The sneak peek looks yummy doesn't it..... mmmmm I'm going to love working on this one.
Thanks for dropping in.

Friends....

Today I'd like to share this old picture with you.... it's a picture of my Mum (right) and Aunty Pam (left) when they were about the age of 15 or 16, they had already been great friends for many years before this picture was taken and remained best of friends for 60 years.

Sadly late last week Aunty Pam lost her battle with cancer and passed away..... I'm sharing this with you because of the friendship they had.... it was very special and I have been told that not once over the past 60 years did they have a disagreement...... that in itself is totally amazing.
On Friday I said I was going to make a card using the butterfly punch..... well things changed a bit and this is the card I ended up making using a few flower stamps I borrowed off Jodi.
I also wanted to share a layout I completed over the weekend using some pictures of Ryan from this time last year.
I'm off to try and get a bit done before the kids get home from school.... bye bye.

New Paper Shaper

How cute is this.... my new Butterfly Paper Shaper from EK Success..... I just love it. I might make a cute little card using this later on tonight so keep an eye out for that.
Went to the circus last night..... a little cold and wet but absolutely fantastic.... the kids were amazed at some of the performances...... one man nearly fell off the top of a big spinning thing and the whole crowd nearly freaked out..... I found a few of the acrobatic performances a little hard to watch after that. The animals were soooo clever and you could tell that they were all well loved by their trainers...... a good time was had by all.

Apart from feeling sick again..... thanks Megan.... I've been working on a layout today and I might be able to show it on the weekend when I put some journaling on it, I usually have the story all planned out before I create the layout but it didn't quite happen that way this time.
Looking forward to having a restful weekend for once as there is no sport on this weekend..... this means we all can stay warm and hopefully get over our colds.
So take care and have a nice weekend

Blah blah...

Early last week Megan was a sick little kid and she thought she would share it around..... so I've been feeling a bit blah blah for the past 5 days..... so much so that there has been no scrapbooking done..... nothing not even blog surfing as I usually do when I have 5 to spare. Feeling alot better now so expect some more posts.

Well finally Megan and the rest of her ballet class had their turn at the eisteddfod on Monday...... It was a funny morning..... trying to get 9 Gummi Bears to stand still while the photographer was attempting to take their portraits was a little challenging. They all looked fantastic....so cute and fluffy in their bright outfits which we made ourselves. There were lots of big cheers when they all came out on stage and did their thing and would you believe........ they WON!!!! wooooohooooOh I might have a little something to show you tomorrow.... kinda cute and I'll send it your way Bronwyn so you can give it a go.

Well it's raining here at the moment and we are just waiting for Mark to come home because we are taking the kids out tonight........ to Lennon Bros Circus in Tamworth...... the kids are busting and won't leave me alone..... is dad here yet..... when are we going.....how much longer....... I wish Dad would hurry up...... well you know the story, you shouldn't let the kids in on the surprise until you are about to leave that way they won't pester you constantly... hmmmmm should have done that.

Talk soon

Death of a Toaster....

I knew this would happen some day.... my precious little toaster which has been with me most of my life..... yes you read that right MOST OF MY LIFE has died. Sadly after approximately 35 YEARS of good service the toaster just became too dangerous to use on Tuesday night. I was having a really easy dinner as Mark was away and after cooking a few pieces of toast to go with dinner I could smell something burning.....I had taken all the toast out of the toaster so I knew that it wasn't toast burning. When I walked in the kitchen I could see right away a bright glow coming from my toaster like it was cooking toast without the toast! I moved the lever on the side and it wouldn't turn off so sadly I unplugged it for the last time!
I sent Mark to buy a new one and you can guarantee that any new appliance won't last that long.... just like my microwave which decided to cark-it on Saturday night after only 13 months ... and yes I think the makers of these appliances make them so they last just a little longer than their warranty!!!!
Now I have got that out of the way here is what's been happening;
On Saturday Megan had her last ballet practice for the eisteddfod next Monday....... we had a dress rehearsal and they all looked so cute.

On Sunday morning we went over to our cousins place just to hang out....Kate took the kids for a wild ride on the Quad Bike...... we had to use the excuse that it ran out of fuel because they just wouldn't get off! Morning tea turned into a BBQ Lunch it was all so relaxing...... Ryan found Kate's flouro arm bands she uses when running or riding her bike ( Kate competes in alot of triathlons and things ) and thought it would make a lovely head band..... it kinda reminds me of Olivia Newton John and Let's get physical.... don't you think.
Speaking of getting Physical Craig and Jacki thought it would be a great idea to go boxing on Tuesday morning........ Craig does this 3 or 4 times a week and is quite a hard task master so I found out. I knew I was going to be sore but I didn't quite count on being this sore..... my arms ache my legs don't move properly......not sure if I'm going to go back but I will say Jacki and I laughed and laughed the whole thought of me boxing and being flexible enough to do those exercises was hilarious!! Not the best photo but hey we had just been tortured for the last hour and a half!!!
Sometimes some of the things my kids do just make me shake my head and walk away.... on Monday afternoon after school I found Megan perched up t the table with a snack she put together herself...... pancakes and some Diet Coke in a cup.... not quite what I would have chosen for a drink, next thing I see is Megan dunking her pankakes in the Diet Coke and eating it all up...mmmmmm!! Ryan on the other hand has better taste than that he decided to get a nice little plate out and put some crackers on it, he then proceeded to tuck into and entire block of Camembert Cheese..... it was all a bit funny really!!
I've got Megan home sick for the second day now....... sounds like she has croup which isn't much fun especially during the night when things seem to get worse. So not much sleep at my house ..... think we might both watch a movie this afternoon and maybe have a much need nap and get ready to do it all again tonight!!
Thanks for visiting

Layout to share

Here is one I made yesterday using the 2nd kit from Scraparooney...... sorry about the photo quality it's raining and I couldn't get the light quite right.
