Blogtoberfest day 31.

OMG! when I started this little project yesterday afternoon I thought I could knock it over in maybe 4 or 5 hours. How totally wrong was I!!
I decided to make two advent calendars........I still thought I'd get them finished before I went to bed. This is what it looked like at 11.30 last night.......
This is what it looked like at 9am this morning........
I truly had no idea how much work these things were, I tried hard to get them just right.....not too fussy or overdone and by 2pm this afternoon I was ready to start stitching down all the pockets! Two hours later and all I have to do is stitch the binding down on the back. Woooohooooo!!!
I think I'll have to leave the last bit of stitching til after dinner because at some point you just have to stop having that love affair with the sewing machine and clean the house! What a trail of destruction I have left from the bedroom to the dining table.......I think I'm going to need the next 2 days to clean it all up! Blah!
Hope you all had a great weekend.

Awesome, love it but yes, soooo time consuming. Your style is fantastic & i can see all the detail & where the time has gone . . . 'tis why my 4 don't have a handmade one each, unless i start in January so they're done for December 1st. Love Posie

gorgeous advent calendars.....am hoping that you weren't making one of those for me though...does look a little too pink for me....It has been over 12 months since we first talked about it, had heard nothing from you, so thought you weren't making any, and then I found one in a xmas catalogue last week.....yours are very awesome though!
