Helpful Husband!!!

Has anyone out there got a husband as helpful as mine?. We've had a few really busy days with soccer finals and presentation and birthday parties.....so yesterday my washing pile had built up so much that before I walked out the door yesterday to take Megan to a party that I asked if he could hang the washing out and put a load on......not too much to ask I thought. When I arrived home at around 2.30 pm I noticed that the clothes line was jam packed with washing.....boy, he must have been busy to get all that washing done I thought to myself, now I can relax knowing I don't have to spend the rest of the day washing and so on. Come about 6 pm I thought I should get the washing off the line.......I put a couple of things in the basket and went to get my jeans off the line when I noticed a dirty little mark on them.......Hmmmmm that's funny this mark should have come off in the wash......then I inspected a few other items of clothing hanging on the line......NOT ONE ITEM HAD BEEN WASHED!!!! The whole clothes line was full of dirty washing!!!!! How's that for a helpful husband!!!
A friend said I should have left it on the line and just thrown some washing powder at it..........not a bad idea with all the rain we've had this afternoon.

You know when you're taking a few pictures and you just know ....yeah that's the one..... this one is going to be really nice.....well, this is one of those pictures.......a candid shot of my gorgeous son Ryan.
On to my battle to get Megan into see a doctor.......I have made numerous attempts to get her in to see someone........the receptionist told me on Friday that next week was now totally booked out and I would be lucky to get her in the following week......I won't tell you what I was thinking but you can probably guess it started with the letter "F"......what am I supposed to do......If the kid needs to see a doctor the kid needs to see a "F" doctor!!!!! I'm going to give it another couple of days just to see if the over the counter treatment from the chemist works and if it doesn't look like it's starting to clear up I'm going to go and sit in the surgery waiting room until someone will see her.......I might even do it with her shirt off so they can all see the spots, this will scare a few patients and maybe get her in quicker!!!

OK, and just for something really nice here is my favourite snack at the moment.......Hopefully I'll get some scrapbooking done tomorrow.......it's been a while!

PS. Cath if you are looking for my email addy go into my profile up in the side bar.

Poor Meagan, its just wrong isnt it! So frustrating when the room is probably filled with old people with wind problems... I had this with my kid one day when i was working at the aged care hostle, i couldnt get into the doctor and my son was suffering with asthma.. But this resident got in... guess why she was going... she needed a good fart!! I was so fri..n cranky i can tell you!!!

Hi Brenda, I have one of those helpful husband but he washes the clothes it just the way that they are peg out it looks like a 3 year old has done it. Wish he would learn how to cook that would be helpful. It's terrible that you can't get Megan into a doctor I know how frastrating that is. I would sit in the waiting room until someone seen her. The doctors here are always booked out for 2 or 3 weeks at a time. When Vicki took Thomas to the hospital for stitches they put a bandaid on his leg and told him to come back in 21/2 hours I was fuming and rang the medical centre they come straight away. Can't wait to get that bill.(at least it got done)
Goodluck

oh, i just love the washing story! i wouldn't know if i should laugh or cry! i suppose it is the thought that counts...

i cannot believe you have to wait so long to see a doctor. does that happen all over? here you will never wait more than an hour or two, and if it gets that long, you will throw a tantrum. if it is after hours, you go to the local hospital, and the casualty there will help you, also within an hour or 2. in our government hospitals it is a little worse, you might have to go and sit and wait for a day. but it costs less.

how on earth did he not notice that the washing was not wet???
Hope Meagan gets better soon. Our Gps are notoriously booked up too, but they leave 2 or 3 appts blank each day, so if you ring at 8am then you can usually be seen that day.
