My Creative Space.

A few months back I bought a top, a gorgeous top........
....one with beautifully covered buttons adorning the neckline.
It has a beautiful lace trim, but for some reason this top has a big chunk of white fabric underneath the lace and it has really been annoying me, it looks like a big band of white around the biggest part of my ......curves! This isn't a good look I assure you.
So today I decided to rectify the "big white band around the butt" problem and cut it off!
After a little run on the trusty old overlocker it looks much better.....don't you think?
This is a top which is perfect for extremely hot weather but because I'm so over buying nice things and saving them for a special occasion and one or two seasons later realising that I spent all that money and only wore it twice, I decided to layer it up a little with a black T, now I can wear it all year round.
Just incase you had forgotten what I look like and the fact that I like loads of people hate having my picture taken, here is a little bit of a look at me with my newly restyled top on.
For more Creative Spaces head on over to kootoyoo and say hello.

i like your changes and wearing it with a black t-shirt. we get so much more wear with summer items wearing something underneath ... and it looks totally funky. i love the black and white combination.

Its a lovely top - you did a nice little refashion there. In fact you have inspired me to go change a little-bit-too-long top that I really love but rarely wear because the length is unflattering.

That is a gorgeous top. Good idea to make that little change so that you can wear it & feel great - looks lovely!

That sure is a lovely top. Great idea to wear it with a T underneath to get more wear. You could also wear a long sleeve T or a cardi to get even more wear into Winter. But I'm sure you've already thought of that!

Looking good! What a difference that little bit of snipping and overlocking did. Have fun wearing it.

Oh gorgeous top!! I haven't seen one like that. I always thought I would trade my machine in when I upgrade but I think I would now keep it for my daughter :-)
