I could have quite easily bought a brand new bedside table for the same amount of money I spent on this little number ( $250 eeekkkkk!! ), but I love old pieces of furniture with character and style........now all I have to do is find a matching one for the other side!
There were a few other items I absolutely wish I could have taken home with me that day including this giant counter for $1800.00..........perfect for my new studio.
This one brought back memories of the big old sewing machine I once owned ( in beautiful condition ) I had a moment of stupidity because I traded it for a big old antique table.......looking back now I think I'd rather the sewing machine.
Baskets, big old chunky baskets.........I'd say they were once used in a shearing shed! Can't you imagine them with wool which had been clipped with shears spilling out over the top.
Then the big sorting table where the wool would have been skirted ready for bailing in a big old press! This table with a big chunky sheet of glass on top would make a beautiful dining table........I think from memory it was about $1500, not that much more expensive than a big boring table from one of the furniture outlets!
If you want to join in head on over to Her Library Adventures and say hello.
See you tomorrow for day 4 of Blogtoberfest.

Oh i'm a basket freak, so loving the wool ones!! We had boarders from Dunnedoo at school, lovely girls!! Oh i dream of a massive barn style table, not sure where, might have to build a house around one?? Love Posie
What a great buy... I love furniture with a story so I think your dollars were very well spent. So much temptation I think I need to visit Dunedoo.
