On the way back he must have had a moment of weakness because he stopped at "Aussie Outback Wares" a gorgeous antique store in Branxton. This place was amazing to say the least, it was full of the most unusual pieces, one that stood out was two huge enamel ware lamp shades......I think they must have come out of a factory many years ago, they were $185 each, simply gorgeous!
I spotted a matching pot cupboard to the one I bought in Dunedoo a couple of months back. It was one one third of the price of the first one, so when you balance it out between the two I don't think it's that bad.
It's perfect for storing some of my ever-growing fabric stash.
To see what other people have found this week head on over to Her Library Adventures and have a look.

Fantastic, so glad you found that.
Sounds great just being able to duck down to Maitland... what a nice drive that must be.
Great find. Yes, our husbands are put on this earth to taunt us. Mine does the same when we drive past an op shop! Have a great week.
I'm so glad you found this one at Branxton. I know the shop you are referring to, we stopped in there often over the years as I was growing up on our way to Blayney visiting relatives. I have seen a few about and I thought I may have seen one at my father in law's house but when we went there a couple of weekends ago I checked it out but it was not the same.I was still keeping my eye out for you though, I can stop looking now lol. Enjoy your find!!
Perfect! Well done!!
Glad that husband stopped. And so he should!
Mine nver stops either! You should drive! ;)
What a lovely cupboard. I've been meaning to pop into that place for ages but I seem to be always running late when I drive past it.
I'll have to make sure I pop in next time.
The Branxton opp shop in the hall is great for clothes.
i simply LOVE the pot cupboard. A gorgy bedside table idea too?
I would love to see the lampshades - did you buy them - i love all things enamel and lampshades/light fittings are so on the list.
As a ex/soon to be again, NOVO, I am loving reading the familiar placenames.
