My Creative Space.

I have so many things I have to get done this week including tea sets, cushions, owls and some pincushions, but I think I'm at the point that I need to stop and just take a day to do something which has absolutely nothing to do with orders!
So this is something I've been wanting to do on a much much larger scale for a while now, probably not the best idea to do tackle a queen bed quilt on the first attempt.....so something for the old antique dolls cot in Megan's room would be the perfect size!
I think the part I found the trickiest so far was trying to get a nice balance with all my squares when laying them out on the floor. I pressed all the seams open....not sure if this is the way it's supposed to be done but it's working so far.
I was real happy when I turned it over to see all my joins looked like this!
Now I have to find something to put in it to make it nice and soft....but not too difficult to sew!
For more creative spaces head on over to kootoyoo and say hello to Kirsty.

Hope you are all having a happy day!

It's gorgeous! Amazing seam joins. If it's just for a dolls cot, why not use polar fleece for the inside. It's nice and heavy and gives a great drape to the quilt.

You are one tenacious woman. I wouldn't know where to begin with a bedspread but you make it look so easy. Hope it goes well.

That quilt is beautiful. The fabrics are just so lovely! I've only attempted quilting once & I couldn't get anything lined up, so I've put that little project aside until I have more patience to give it another wirl...

gorgeous colours for your quilt, I so love pink and red together. I'm no quilt expert but I reckon it's looking just right, how could it not? Just found your blog, love those little owls you make!
