.... and he'll take a mile. This is what happens when you think your child is responsible enough to put the hair gel in their hair all by themselves and do a good job of it!! Not quite the look I was hoping he would come up with..... he thinks "It Rocks"....Hmmmm OK whatever tickles your fancy.

I took a few nice pictures of Megan as well...... soon to be used on a few new layouts.
I have some really big news to share soon..... maybe in the next few weeks once I get a bit more organised....... can you guess what it is?

I am off to see Keith Urban this weekend with some friends..... so excited and a bit nervous at the same time..... because this is the longest period of time Mark has ever been left with the kids and they have alot on....... never mind I'm sure they'll survive.

At it again!

Remember when I said Megan would pick up anything..... well she's at it again, look what she found this time..... KERMIT. I gotta say he is kinda cute in a green sorta way...... and if you have frogs around it means the environment is healthy........ and that's a really good thing!!!
They both wanted to keep him as a pet....... not a chance, the last thing I want is a frog escaping in the middle of the night and hopping around the house waiting for me to step on it!! It was bad enough when I was taking a few pictures of Kermit and he jumped onto my arm...... Arrrggghhh I screamed "get it off get it off" the kids were wetting themselves laughing at my reaction.... Yeah real funny huh!

Well I hope you all had a terrific Easter Weekend.... we did. I wrote the Easter Bunny a letter requesting that he hide all of his eggs in the house this year because I was worried about animals eating the chocolate eggs through the night and getting sick!! When Ryan and Megan found all their eggs they decided to see if the Easter Bunny had left any more eggs in my bedroom, guess what they found..... all the packaging the eggs came in!!! When they asked with great urgency what this was all about I just said that the Easter Bunny must have been in a bit of a hurry this year and forgot to take his rubbish.......... Naughty Bunny!!!! I think I got away with it!!

I'm going back a few days now...... back to last Thursday when the Easter hat parade was on at school. We used the eggs we painted last Sunday and some old hats a bit of cardstock and a few feathers, I got the idea from Zina.

It was a battle trying to get to school without breaking the eggs........ none of the eggs made it home, what a surprise!

I absolutely love this picture of Ryan and his hat....... I don't know whether it's because it's a candid shot or the colours or a combination of both...... but I love it!

Look I even have a new layout to share "Egg me happy", I really wanted to put a cute little tree in the spot where I have the egg but it really didn't go with the Easter theme so I had to stick with the egg.... Hmmmmm.

Remember when......

I told you that Megan would pick up just about anything!!! I just went outside to let our little dog off his chain and Ryan said "Mum look at Megan", upon investigation she was sitting on a chair in the carport with her hands tightly shut around something. When I came a little closer a little black nose poked out... then I saw two little beady eyes.......have you guessed what it is yet?

Arrrrrrgggghhhh IT"S A MOUSE!!!!!!

Can't wait for the day she decides to pick up a snake thinking it's a lizard!!!

Now that I've just aged 10 years it's time to go.

Easter Spirit

This is what happens when you are having so much fun on a Sunday afternoon painting eggs that you just don't know when to stop!!! My husband thought I was mad, the kids thought it was just the best idea ever and couldn't wait to see how it turned out, what do you think?

This is Megan with the only chook we could get hold of after letting them out for a run...... there is a hot pink one but she was a bit camera shy.

Here is our blue one..... she looks happy about the whole thing. Megan now wants to know if they are going to lay coloured eggs....... dah!!!
Megan is one of those kids that will pick up anything creepy or crawly...... here is a big green grasshopper she found while chasing the chooks.
I think it's missing a leg Megan..... Hmmmmmm!

OK, seven weird or random facts.

1. Before sitting on a toilet I always check to see if there are any frogs or spiders around. Yes this has happened to me and let's just say it was lucky I was sitting on the toilet!!!!



2. When I make myself a coffee I aways put the milk in first before the hot water, I think it tastes better.



3. I like the fan on while I sleep because I like the sound it makes....... I know I'm asleep and can't hear it anyway, but that doesn't matter!



4. I hate clutter in my house especially the kitchen, the only thing on any of the benches besides the microwave ( because there is no where else for it to go ) is the jug, and I don't even like that being there.



5. I have lots and lots of shoes in my cupboard....... some have never been worn!



6. I colour coded my wardrobe a few months ago...... and I love it! If I feel like wearing a particular colour for the day I just go straight to that section, too easy!



7. I haven't had a girls weekend away ( no husband no kids ) for around 15 years, this is all about to change when 4 other crazy women and I head off to see Keith Urban next weekend.... woooohoooo!!! The best thing is Mark will get a taste of what I go through with the kids, can't wait!!

Easter Eggs

Yesterday afternoon we decided to paint some eggs in preparation for decorating a couple of hats for the Easter Hat Parade at school. We had 40 eggs to play with and ended up with only 16 I think that will be enough for what we want to do.

Speaking of decorating things I should have some hilarious photos for you tomorrow I hope....... lets just say it involves three bottles of food dye a bucket and lots of laughs!!!! Stay tuned for that one.

Big Night

Jodi had her 40th Birthday party last night......... I am so impressed with what she put together the food was to die for and the decorations were absolutely breath taking. There were about 380 meters of fairy lights strung up all over, gorgeous table center pieces and the list goes on and on, but that's not it was about the night was about Jodi and I'm pretty sure she had the BEST TIME EVER!!!! Old school friends came some that she had not seen for many years, it was a great crowd everyone had a few too many drinks ( Jodi included ) and some even turned their attention to the Karaoke Machine.

This is James and Ryan....... Hmmmmmm not really sure what's going on there, must have been good!! I would of taken a picture of Megan if she stood still long enough, she spent the majority of the night racing around the house, playing in the fish pond and dancing in front of the big projector screen that was set up outside for all of the teens to watch....... I'm sure they were impressed!
This is Mark and Craig having a quiet ale....... still doesn't like having his picture taken.

Having a Party!

Happy Birthday Jodi

We had lunch at the Verdict on Monday to celebrate Jodi's 40th Birthday..... ate way too much, not a hard thing to do when the food is sooooo goooood! Really looking forward to the big bash on Saturday night hopefully I'll have some very happy snaps to show you next week...... or maybe not!
I've had a really busy few days with sick kids, Megan was sent home from school on Friday not well and she only went back to school today, she had a high temperature and an ear infection, she said the funniest thing on the weekend " Mum why do I have snot coming out of my ears?", how do you reply to that!!!
Ryan decided he was going to be sick today Grrrrrr, I think he just thought he was missing out on being pampered. He had a lovely day going to work with Dad while I had my hair done then we all went to lunch, got a DVD, had coffee with a friend then went to pick Megan up....... not bad for a sick kid don't you think!!!!! Hopefully tomorrow they will both be OK and I might be able to get a few things done.
Back on to getting my hair done, it took 3 1/2 hours which I don't mind..... it's quite nice being pampered I think, but then I sat down to lunch with my husband and he says "Why did it take 3 1/2 hours..... what did they do because I can't tell the difference!!!" Typical Grrrrr why do we bother!!!
Think I might go and not bother to cook him dinner and see if he notices that!!!! Ha ha ha ha, he's lucky I'm not that mean and I do understand that he is a man after all!

How about that!!!

You know how when you are checking out someone's blog and that leads to someone else's blog and so on and so on... well when I discovered the very talented Charmane Koch's blog I found a blog called 123 Challenge, the February challenge was to use a transparency, put a number in the title and use strip writing. Guess who won!!!!........ Meeeee........ Wooohoooo! Such a surprise considering the talent my layout was up against. This month's challenge is orange black and white, ribbon and a one word title...... go and check out the layouts that have already been submitted they are just gorgeous!!
Had a very busy day today..... went to Tamworth with a few crazy friends, had a great time shopping and eating.... no room left for dinner tonight!!! Got home with only seconds to spare before collecting the kids....phew!

More storage

I found this cute little stand in a gift shop a few days ago and decided it would be great for a bit of storage....... it's just perfect for all those bits and bops that don't really have a home! Storage is becoming a bit of a problem at my house, I'm one of those people who can't stand clutter....... I create my layouts in absolute chaos then clean up straight away. We had a visit from my mum and dad on the weekend, it was a great weekend we even found another little dog for mum to take home and spoil! She wanted another dog because the other little dog she got 3 weeks ago needed a friend!

We love it when Nanny and Grandfather visit....... even though we do talk on the phone all the time it's much nicer to see them in person, Megan always cries when it is time for them to go home...... Hopefully one day they might live a bit closer!!

It's been a very busy week and I still have alot to do so I had better go, I might get some scrapbooking done in the morning so stay tuned!!!!
