Itchy Fingers.
I like sitting and relaxing after dinner in the evenings, I look forward to some of my favourite shows, but sometimes something doesn't feel quite right....... I get itchy fingers! What a strange ailment to have you say, well not really, you see I can't sit and relax watching a bit of TV without having something for my fingers to do, they get restless.....so what better way to keep them occupied than give them something to do, like more pears.
These pears are the beginnings of some journal covers, it's been a while since I made some and the first one is always a little like a puzzle. I like to make them totally reversible and I don't want to see any mess.

Busy with Journal Covers!
Knowing that the Christmas Markets in Gundy are going to creep up on me real quick I got stuck into some A5 Journal Covers yesterday!
Put a bit of ribbon around it and it would make a great gift, teachers, mother, friends, anyone! The cover is totally removable ( and washable ) so when you fill up your book just replace it with another!
These gorgeous book covers could also hold a diary, index book, or what ever you want! The books that are currently inside are plain ruled ones.
This one is called..... Disco Dot - Flamingo
Below we have Disco Dot - Sorbet
Little Bugs
Cupcakes - Aqua
I also made some A6 sized Book Covers. Here is one covered in Apples and Pears......I also made A5 ones covered in Apples and Pears just didn't take a picture.
Here are some more little books ( A6 ) against the bigger ones (A5). They are all fully lined and have a layer of thin wadding in them so they feel extra soft.

Trial Run.
Can you guess what this is?
Next time I try one of these I'm going to find a pattern and some instructions somewhere instead of thinking " Yeah that's simple I can do that no trouble ", well that would have been the case if I didn't want to try and do a few extra things to it!
Like put a big orange button and a piece of elastic on it to keep it nicely shut! ( I only had white elastic in my stash, thinking I should buy some black )
Put a specially co-ordinated pocket on the inside cover to keep something with which to write ( or scribble ) anything your heart desires!
Did I mention it's fully lined and has a layer of padding all the way through to make it feel nice and soft!

I plan on making a big stack of these ( not all the same ) they would make a great gift for someone special, they have an A5 book inside so they are small enough to pop in your handbag.
