Round Two!

Round two with my little bird is starting to frustrate me! I don't know what it is or why but this little soon to be feathered friend isn't co-operating!
The legs are a bit wonky and it has wire sticking out of its arse...........I think it's time to walk away and try again when looking at it doesn't give me an instant migraine!
To be continued...............

Trial Run - My Creative Space

I love little birds, I love the unbelievable variety and the amazing detail when you take a closer look. The only thing I don't like about them is that they poop all over my car, I have a crazy one that smacks into my kitchen window on a regular basis, and the cockatoo's chew my TV aerial........other than that they are great and I thought it was about time I did a trial run on one of my own!
I took a bit of inspiration from these cute little wire forms.
The legs were a bit tricky............trying to get the balance right was almost as hard!
I think I'll have to do the wings again........these ones would be perfect for a slightly smaller bird.
There are a few things that can be improved upon, it might take me a few goes to get it right.........but in the mean time I still have this cute little bird to talk too.
For many more creative spaces head on over to kootoyoo and say hello.

Custom Orders.

I've been plugging away at the "To Do List" and things are finally coming together......It's hard, really hard to get things done while the kids are on holidays.

Here are a couple of owls which were completed yesterday.
This little sweetie is for a separate order......
but I think she wants to stay with her friends.
How about these feathers we collected last week. Megan is riding this afternoon so I might be able to collect some more......don't know what I'm going to do with them, but they are so beautiful and delicate I simply must have them.
Thanks for stopping by.

Macro Monday

Today I'm going to join in on "Macro Monday" over at Lisa's Chaos.
It's a close-up shot of a gorgeous guinnea fowl feather which we collected last week when Megan was having a riding lesson. The detail is amazing and totally inspiring...........maybe something which I can take and use on a birdy project, once I finish a few orders that is!
If you want to join in on Macro Monday it's real easy.......check it out here.
