My Weekend.

My husband and I went to a wedding on the weekend, I gotta say it was interesting to say the least! I won't go into to much detail so all I'll say is that I should have moved our place cards to a more suitable table!

This is what I wore......
Yesterday we had our break-up party and presentation for Junior Rugby, it was a terrific afternoon with the nibbles laid on and a huge BBQ, some of the mum's had a few too many champagne's it was really funny.
This is where I found Megan while all the formalities were on......she took the opportunity to get on while all the big boys were receiving their gifts.
We continued our afternoon at a friends house and I found this gorgeous wall, so I lined Megan up for a few shots but Ryan wouldn't be in it.
I hope you all had a great weekend.

Big Weekend.

The kids and I went for a little drive on the weekend to catch up with some special friends in Goondiwindi, I wish we had more time to stay and chat but I had to be in Moree the next morning for Rugby.
This was the last carnival for the season, because temperatures had been up around 36 degrees on Saturday I was dressed in T-Shirt and sandals thinking that it was still going to be hot.........Huge mistake! It rained all day and it was terribly cold, Ryan didn't even notice he just wanted to get on with the game ( all 4 of them ).
I had to strip his clothes off him before he got in the car to go home because of all the mud, his white short aren't white anymore!!
Just for something different, on the way home I saw some weird clouds in the sky.
When we eventually got home late yesterday afternoon Megan was doing the gate for me and because I didn't take many pictures for the weekend I took this opportunity to get just a few while I still could.
She was in a good mood which meant I could take as many pictures as I wanted without her getting all cranky on me!
What a gorgeous Seven year old smile.
I have a few more good ones......maybe one day I could scrap them!
I hope you all had a great weekend.

I love mushrooms and when I saw one of these stools on Melissa's blog a few months ago I wanted one. As luck would have it my sister only lived a short distance from the shop and even better knew they lady who owned the shop where Melissa bought hers so I asked her to check them out.........I really wanted it for Megan's room, I had to keep it a surprise for her birthday so even though I ordered it a while back it only arrived this week.
The cute little felt mushrooms next to the stool I made from a pattern I found on Melissa's blog also........thanks Melissa for all your creative inspiration!!!!

As I was saying my baby girl had a birthday this week......the big Seven.
Wasn't she over the moon when she opened a gift containing one of these........
I have never seen her brother be so nice to her...... ever!!!! Now he's counting the days down to his birthday hoping that he gets one also.

Speaking of big brother's her is Ryan at the Rugby a bit over a week ago ( in need of a hair cut I know ), he loves this game and he and his team mates are getting better each week it so good to watch.
Unfortunately at this game one of the boys in the under 13's broke his leg and the Ambulance had to be called........guess who was standing over the poor boy the whole time the Ambulance Officers were treating him ??? Yes she is one big sticky-beak, and she came and told us all that it was OK the boy wasn't dead, he just broke his neck!!!!
It took another 20 minutes to explain that they only put a neck brace on as a precaution, as they do with most accidents!!!
OK, I'm going now as we are about to light a big fire outside and make a damper in our camp oven over the hot coals.....fun fun fun!!!

Rugby Weekend.

We went to Walcha for Ryan's first game of Rugby Union on Sunday. Despite the fact that Walcha is one of the coldest places in the state and it took us 2 hours to get there....it was a wonderful day, not that cold at all, and Ryan eventually fell asleep after an hour of asking " are we there yet", he was slightly excited.

Here are the "Red Devils" ready for action.

This is about the only action shot I got of Ryan.....the sun was way too bright and the game was way too fast.

The Red Devils played 4 games and won each game.......the boys were so proud of themselves!!!

Here is Ryan taking a break in between games.........

Here is Megan all rugged up for the Rugby with a cute little scarf that I made for her. Did you notice that she now has no front teeth.....a couple of weeks ago she twisted, wobbled and pulled until the second one came out, it was really hard to watch but she was determined to even it all up and get another visit from the tooth fairy!!

Here is the scarf a little closer.......Pink and Orange are two of my favourite colours at the moment.
Speaking of colours....... I'm crocheting Rayn a big woollen snuggle blanket in this great colour combination. I've almost finished one for Megan as well....just waiting on some wool I've ordered to come in.
That's all I have for today........bye.
