Pincushions ready for Shop!

Here's something I haven't made for a while.....colourful owl pincushions.
I had these pincushions and a stack of pears ready for the post yesterday, I'd planned for them to arrive in Shop Handmade Wednesday but I totally forgot that yesterday was a public holiday!

I even took the kids shopping in Tamworth Yesterday, by then I knew it was a public holiday and yes there were many shops which were shut up for the day, but the ones we wanted were open. The kids spent some of their christmas money, Ryan bought a Wii game and Megan bought $2.50 worth of lollies........she is so easily pleased, she had the opportunity to buy a huge range of toys but this is all she wanted. She is a clever little thing because I witnessed her selling a few lollies to her brother for 50c each last night.......she ended up making a profit!
I stocked up on new undies and jocks for the kids, new school socks ( Megan totally trashed every white sock she owns so I had to throw atleast 20 pairs out ), a few pairs of shorts and I found a real pretty top for myself! All I need to do now is get some new school shoes and we are good to go!

Thanks for stopping by.

Owl Pincushions

I have just listed these little Owl Pincushions in my madeit store, go and check them out!
It's freezing cold here today, a perfect day for crafting infront of the heater and checking out a few blogs. Here are a few which I like to visit....
Stay warm and have a lovely day.

My Creative Space.

Today I'm taking things on the road. Ryan did really well at his School Athletics Carnival last Friday and is now eligible to compete at the Zone Athletics Carnival today. If yesterday is anything to go by it's going to be super cold and windy. I'm planning to get there nice and early so I can park right next to the oval where I'll be able to see everything from the comfort of my car. To keep my fingers busy between events I have packed a little basket with a few pincushions which need their base stitched on and a magazine to read.
I'll be listing a few of these in my madeit store very soon so keep an eye out for them if you're interested.

For more creative spaces head on over to kootoyoo and say hello.

I made a Lulu Pincushion.

Many of you might have seen our cat Lulu around on this blog once or twice before, she is kinda cute and loves a cuddle.
I was wanting to change up my pincushions a little and was thinking about all the things I could maybe do with them.........then I looked at her gorgeous little face.
So here we go..........meet my Lulu Pincushion!
There are still a few things I have to work on like her whiskers, and when that is all done she might have a few kittens that will be looking for new homes.
Hope you all had a lovely Mothers Day.
Thanks for stopping by.

They're multiplying!

I've had a real busy few days, a few big decisions were made and plenty of stitching was accomplished after a late night or two.

So with the success of these little fella's at Shop Handmade I had to produce a few more and by Sunday morning these big eyes were staring at me.....waiting for the rest of their friends to join them.
By Sunday night I had quite a collection of them.........my fingers were very sore from all the hand stitching, but hey don't they look great all together?
So first thing on Monday they were put in a box ready for their journey.
If you want to give one of them a home you'll find them at Shop Handmade real soon!
Today was also a big day for Megan.......
She started at a new school today......look how excited she is! I was a bit nervous throughout the day.....wondering how she was getting on. I was so relieved when I saw her this afternoon because she totally loved it and wants to go back tomorrow! Now I know we made the right decision.
Thanks for stopping by.
